I think before the tourney at Harrenhall, Rhaegar found something maybe, and took it up with Lyanna.. Why?? I don't know. I think he read or found something maybe connecting Stark & Targaryen Bloodlines will create the "Prince that was promised".And before Aemon died, he says to Samwell Tarly about Danerys.. That all the facts about her points that she is the "Prince that was promised". But the thing is everyone was looking for a prince & not a princess. He regrets that he should've been at her side guiding her..But I think even then Aemon was wrong and Lyanna gave birth to the prince that was promised by Rhaegar...</blockquote>
