Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture Is Officially Coming To The PC The Chinese Room has announced that Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is officially coming to the PC. Although there is no ETA as of yet, the team claimed that it has finished porting the game, and it’s up to Sony to decide when the game will be out. As you may have guessed, this does not surprise us at all. We’ve known for quite some time that this game would be coming to the PC.The PC version was initially leaked back in September 2015 (alongside some other titles). Last week, AMD’s drivers also revealed the existence of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture for the PC. AMD’s drivers were optimized for this title and included a Crossfire profile for it. According to The Chinese Room, the PC version of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture will not feature any additional graphical effects or improvements. Instead, PC gamers will enjoy better framerates and will be able to run the game in higher resolutions. As The Chinese Room’s Dan Pinchbeck told PCGamer:
“It’s mainly performance—there’s a framerate cap you can turn off, and with a good rig you can push up to 60fps, and obviously you’ve got scope for much higher resolutions. To be honest with you, we were pushing the PS4 about as far as it will go graphically, so it’s not like there’s massive space for improvement anyway.”
The only new features that PC gamers can expect are some accessibility features, like a crosshair option for people susceptible to motion sickness, visual assist for hearing-impaired players, and a ‘one button tilt’/simplified event-triggering feature for users with mobility issues. The PC version will be also fully compatible with most controllers and keyboard/mouse.
