Anyway.. I think since its a GAMING PC you want the most important parts would be the VGA, CPU & RAM (Mobo is important too)

You can go for a Nvidia 9600GT or ATI 3870 for a VGA

CPU Core 2 Duo E6XXXX would do! More than enough! unless you have enough $$$ to go for a Q6600!

Kingston KVR 2GB DDR2 800 RAM and ASUS P5K Pro like Mobo would be an OK choice!!

Have you ever seen a 3DMark or Overclocking champ from a branded PC? ever thought why?

Apple maybe good for Desktop Publishing, Video Editing and stuff.. but how many game titles were released to apple compared to PC?

If you want to GAME then its definitely PC.. at the moment!

I dont think they cannot assemble any rig! the issue is not many people in SL into high end gaming and stuff so you have to pay a premium price to get those stuff for you because they do not import bulk like they do for ordinary PC's!!

Like if you wanna get a 8800GT you have to pay like 35k~ so not many people willing pay that much just for a VGA unless you are really passionate about it...so its simple...if you want it... you have to pay that premium for it!!! Because they need to import that in small amount just for you.. so its expensive!!!

the next one down from an 8800GT would be a 9600GT and then a 8600GT

i own an 8800GT and when i was going to buy it here ( in Australia) it was a very hard decision for me between the 8800GT and the 3870 by ATi

this was because the 8800 was GDDR3 whereas the 3870 was GDDR4 . but the 3870 does have a good shader clock...it is the same as there core clock...whereas my 8800GT turned out to be better
