IT is recommended to use more than 1.5kva generator if you are using water pumps / refrigerators and any motor driven equipment. if you are using computers it is better to use more than 3.5kva generator. smaller generators doesn't have a good stabilizer to correct the frequency (50 Hz)

if you are using it for led / CFL lights only. it is better to use a 30 - 60 va battery and switch mode inverter. later you can add solar power panel to it. it is cheaper.
