    ever done any benchmarks??
He's a guy who gets satisfied with what he's got, or that's what he wants us to think :D

Anyway, I was so disappointed how 7900GTX could beat this card :(
But DX10 is its strong point. Remember when Radeon 9700Pro was released, Geforce Ti4800 could outperform it in some benchmarks. But when DX9 games were released, it was no where to be found. 9700Pro was almost 2-3 times faster than it.

the mobo is abit the maker of vga is albatron. LOL they simply SUCK. i'd wait 4 a MSI , EVGA or BFG
Abit has very good motherboards (maybe not all, but quadGT is a top of the line motherboard for Core 2's). Albatron is also Tier-2 just as EVGA and BFG.

Anyway, we can't go for 8800 series cards even if the cards are affordable. I don't wanna make my PC an hot oven :D

i've seen some benchmarks between same GPU various board makers. the GPU was a 6800ultra and 7800gt. in both albatron was ranked last. and they had some crappy memory on the board. so it sucks on both departments. my cousin whos in australia said that albatron customer service is good though. anyways my choice would be a BFG.. if i have the money why not wait for teh GTOC 1 to be released

You maybe right. But I don't care for the additional 1fps or so you'll get from another make.

Anyways, even if you have the money, where can you find all the variants of a family of cards? That's the problem.

and doing a 7gb torrent would do wonders to the elec billl
Not as much as playing a game for couple of hours with a 8800GTX.
Also, we need to buy expensive, high quality PSU units for a 8800GTX.
