A jilted lover is alleged to have murdered his teenage lover and later dumped her body in a rock cave in a location at Yakkalamulla yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Pabodaya Maduwanthi a 17-year-old school girl.
The limp body of the victim that was wrapped up in a bed sheet was found by a passer by who later informed the police.
The police are hunting for the suspect who is currently absconding and believed to have fled the area.
The Yakkalamulla police are conducting further investigations.
