(I have a RAID1 setup, but never had to replace HDD or any computer componenets yet)I have a script to backup some valuable files into Amazon Glacier, and I think i am payinng 3-4$ per month for that.If you don't like NAS, you can directly upload to S3 (or some other cloud service), there are apps that can mount cloud storage into your local computer, you can simply copy-paste files into the mount and application does the sync for you.
