A lorry transporting posters slandering the JVP has turned turtle at Etul Kotte today (14th). The incident had occurred at about 5.20 p.m. The lorry with registered number JL 9452 from ‘Dilruk’, Pragathipura, Madiwela had turned turtle and crashed against a vehicle (KJ 1003) coming from the opposite direction damaging this vehicle as well.

When the lorry turned turtle the posters slandering the JVP had been thrown out on to the road. In a few moments Siripala Amarasinghe, an advisor of ‘SEMA’ and former Parliamentarian of the JVP who was removed from the party for indiscipline had arrived in a defender jeep with bodyguards had taken measures remove eh lorry from the place of the accident.

A ‘Sirasa’ cameraman had tried to video the incident but the bodyguards who had come with Siripala Amarasinghe had threatened and assaulted him preventing him from taking any pictures. However, we produce here several photographs of the posters slandering the JVP. The posters had been printed by an organization calling itself “Active members of JVP.’

SEMA was first established on the 4th of June 2004 by President Mahinda Rajapakse to be the Leader, Motivator, Facilitator, Innovator and Guardian of Strategic State Owned Enterprises (SSOEs).
