Inspired by the famous Rolex Submariner, the Sea Urchin looks the part minus the stratospheric price tag. Known for their tough watches, Seiko built another solid member here that’s designed to take the roughest punishment you might throw at it.

Movement is from Seiko themselves and it’s viewable through the transparent caseback. A special material developed by Seiko called Hardlex covers the front and is said to be tougher than mineral glass. Even the links are built tough, with a solid steel construction and a triple locking clasp.

Maitres du Temps Chapter One

Maitres du Temps at Baselworld will soon be unveiling the Chapter Two watch, but as a precursor to the big event they are releasing a limited edition of the Chapter One. The standard Chapter One is blue and gold but this new release is a classic black with an added gentleman’s touch.

The watch features a black alligator strap and 18k white gold on black all over the case and dial. In addition, there is a manually-wound tourbillon movement, a chronograph, retrograde GMT display, day of the week, moon phase and retrograde date.

No word on price yet but the original Chapter One was well into six digit figures so let’s just assume this one will be pricey. This elegant watch will soon be available at Baselworld.

Bell & Ross have given a new look to their signature design watches and have revealed the BR 03 Instrument Type Aviation. The watch has two LCD displays, quartz movement with analogue and digital display, and a silver oxide high drain battery that will theoretically run for 35 months. Other features include a water-resistant crown, unidirectional revolving inside bezel, luminescent hands for night reading, anti-reflective coated sapphire glass and stain-polished stainless steel or rubber strap
