We normally drive through on our own but this wasn't going to work at all in these parts of the world and we opted for a complete tour from an operator based in Uzbekistan.They organised everything from visas, hotels, guided tours etc. At every land border crossing they made sure their guides handed over us to the immigration post and the next guide picked us at the other end. Forms have to be filled up in Russian or their native language and the guides did this. We had no worries at all.There's a Kazakh consulate or an embassy in Colombo (recently opened up), may be check with them.Else an e-Visa can be obtained from <a href="https://www.vmp.gov.kz/en/services/visa-service" target="_blank">https://www.vmp.gov.kz/en/services/visa-service</a>PS: There are travel operators in SL who organise tours. One of our guides told me that she was expecting a group from SL after we left.</blockquote>
