HDD Partitioning Help

    I want to know whether it's ok if i install programs/software/games etc....other than the c drive?

    will those work?

    if i install windows again, what happens to the other installed programs which are there on the other partitions?

    have i got to reinstall them too?

    pls help me guys

    You can install whatever you want in any partition but they will work only If the C: is available (the same C: that was there when you install)

    Wherever you install your software/game wont matter files are installed in windows32 or any system folder as default way.Only the destination of installation folder varies according to your way.:)

    When you format C: you will have to reinstall all the software/games.Because there will not be any conecction to your system after you format C::)

    so it means i can install anything in any partition according to my liking?

    and no need to install under C:\Program Files???

    is there a difference/advantage installing it at C:\Program Files than installing it in some other place?

    i recommend you to install windows and software on C drive. when partitioning, make sure that you choose front of the hard disk to create c partition. so the system will be running in faster disk area. user other partitions to store multimedia(films,music etc).
