both suxs,i lost 2*40GB maxtor and 1*40GB Samsung,
but my old segate HDDs never gave me any problem at all

If you hear a sound from a hard disk, usually it means it will die sooner or later. First thing you should do is stop worrying about the hard disk, and backup your data if you haven't done that already. Then wait for it to fail. :P

Hitachi Sucks. Everyone I know to buy Hitachi ended up loosing all the data when it failed some time after... :lol:

Oke kaata hari wikunala Maxtor ekak ganna. maxtor rules.
Im using all maxtor 250 Sata + 160 + 30 :))

No errors @ all.

even a barnd new hitachi HDD gives some stupid noises.

Noises => statically unbalanced & dynamically unbalanced :P :P


good luck. Eitherway your hdd is gonna fail soon. so act fast :yes:
