So just after 2 minutes of distant healing.. he became 18-like again? Which so many doctors could not identify? Well... as far as I know doctors only cannot change a patients attitude... it is possible that your father mentally accepted the distant healing than the mainstream medicine...

Once there was a study done by a university... (I will try my best to find it on the web) which they gave aspirin to some patients whom said they have headaches and to some patients who has the same symptoms they gave just a pill made of wheat flour or something both looked the same but none of the patients were told what medicine they were taken.. surprisingly even the patients who took the non-aspirin claimed that after taking the medicine their headache disappeared!! This is the nature of human.. it has got nothing to do with anything else...

no my father had a neural diseases witch make pain around neck while he lifting sufficient weights. My father was not healed by distant but paralyzed person healed by of distant healing.

And I did say, that these kind of methodologies must be tested according to proper procedures, if Vishva says he can heal, then the proper authorities would give the opportunity to prove his abilities... the issue here is, he is hiding under the term "complimentary medicine" but still does risky business!

Professionals know about human diseases in and out.. when you want to prove something.. you relate it to something that's already proven, that's how you make it transparent.. and that *something* today... will always be science!

Even if we test it... it might not be reflected if we only tested on one person, it would be more accurate if we could increase the numbers to be fair to Vishava.. We have experience doctors and other health professionals in Sri Lanka, they would know that Vishva would make any difference or not!

So you are asking me, what if it takes time.. well then.. we can relate it back to the methods we already know.. if Vishva can make a significant difference, then we know its worth exploring!!

ok they will recommend herbs and foods but do you know what herbs and foods are they arent no poisons well let's say they were and do you think ppl would be stupid enough to eat them still?

Nice to see the thread back on track after flaming about one's religion and what not. Anything mystic will always generate suspense and the brash lampooning for both sides is very much obvious.

Just my two cents, everyone has his own beliefs and systems, maybe they have a founding logic for their exisitance. coz of this diversity in the world we have to be tolerant about them, being cautious is ok, but trying to suppress just because u don't understand the procedure is not acceptable in a civilized society. Science can't explain everything and there are many things which need explanations, current western medicine was developed gradually since the 17th century with the understanding of human anatomy, advances in microbiology and understanding of diseases, and functioning of human body. It was a trial and error method, later techniques were developed and the scientific method came to being applied prominently. But now what was before that "western medicine" didn't ppl cure diseases, wasn't there "doctors". there were systems very alien to our current understanding but they just "worked" (i take the word worked coz if not a global pandemic might have wiped out the entire civilization in to extinction)

And then just because u can't understand something, u can't suppress or jeer at it. It's just that conservative shortsightedness which is a barrier to the constant evolution and advance of our society. Even in western medicine there are acceptable practices which we can't totally understand. Like shock therapy, hydro therapy, homeopathy. . .u got to admit those are in our current medicine as acceptable practices even some doubt their efficiency. If those can be accepted and if their techniques can be incorporated into normal scientific medicine . .why can't anything else be.

Then looking at another face, what the hell is aurveda, accupuncture. . we don't understand the rationale in those practices, but that has not prevented us from trusting and actually being "cured" by them.

how long we've been doing this..nearly a week?? but I'm still standing where i was back then i guess so are you...so after all we both are walking down the same circular path ..i get what you are saying to me but after all all we said and did were all justified by our own perspectives because it's only a matter of opinion

Well, advancement of science is a MUST, no one is saying that it should not be! and we totally depend on it... TOTALLY AGREED!!!

But it is not 1800 anymore, this is 2008... people have built up procedures to structure and protect lives... whatever you believe in.. you can come through those procedures and continue doing it.. it helps to filter out the rouges that trying to take a ride in the name of Science!

And that's the message that most of us have been trying to convey through out this thread!!
