Help! Increase Internet Speed

Hello all EK Members,

I was wondering if anyone of you know how to increase the Internet broadband speed. I am a bit worried of my internet speed. According to me, my download speed would be approximately up to 52KB however, I see many SLT Broadband users exceed the limit of 52. (For Like 80KB) Post your comments with any software if needed.

no no dont use IDM (Internet Download Manager), Use DAP (Download Accelarater Plus). It Is The Most speedest Download Manager.
Or use Dialog Broadband Connection. My connection speed is 4 mbps. unlimited - 12,490/=, monthly rentel - 3990/= only

Actually, I am using IDM, DAP, JDownloader & Flashget. None of them work. All upto 52KB. May I ask what is your download speed?

And I am asking is there a way to exceed the speed limit in ADSL?

I am not willing to change my internet connection. For me Dialog is expensive. There maybe a suitable way to increase the speed.

Yes, I find it very difficult and for some reason my modem has been acting strange. Its not receiving data properly. For example for sometime it stops transferring data.

the problem is that for normal broadband connections SLT uses an Alcatel Switch which is not giving 100% speed. but if you take the office package, it connects through a Huawei Switch and that gives you 100% speed. but if you get poe tv from them it automatically connects through Huawei switch though you are in home package.

I am using an SLT Home Broadband Package.

If they have a 512kbits/s connection They wont be able to reach 80kByte/s (8bit=1byte) so maximum u can reach on a 512kbit/s is 64kByte/s so u getting 52kByte is not bad. just make sure u dont have lot of load on the telephone line and use filter on all telephone extension.

Keeping the telephone sockets away from CRT tvs should help too

You can search in Google to get the Free and Paid Software list to speed up the internet connection... But i have used the software to increase the internet speed.It will not increased my speed...So that i have used the tips to increase my internet speed....You can also use this it's best than using the software to increase the speed of internet

Internet speed increasing tips:

well... you can have IDM V6.11 or Internet cyclone which possibly could cause your downloading little bit faster. And, check for unnecessary add ons on your browser title bar if found any remove them. For fast browsing, use Mozilla firefox. Also, install good latest anti virus on your system that alleviate your system from the hampering files. At last, test your speed at
