Help Me Pick A Phone :)

Yo Guys,

Alright, umm...well I okay...I lost my old phone yesterday and my parents offered me to buy a new one (Yipee)...so yeah I need some help from you guys.

My budget is around 25k-30k and I'm looking for a decent NOKIA phone in that price range. Would be great if you guys could recommend me phone I could check out. Also, I'm willing to ramp up the budget 5k more if there is something out there worth putting in more money for.

My previous phone was a Sony Ericson, and I had some bad expericanes with that one, besides Nokia owns anyways so yeah.

P.S. I'm not a Sri Lankan, so would be great if you could keep it in English so that I can understand.

Yo. Why did you say you had problems with the SE?
Anyway, I'd recommend that you buy something good if you are going for a nokia. They suck at middle level phones. Dont get cheap stuff like N70.

I'd say 5700. Anusha has one. Its great.
But if you are willing to go for SE, w810i to w850i would be the target.

Check them out and decide.

5700 is a good phone, but you got the price on it? I'm checking out the SE one's now.

Why did I say I had a rough time with SE? Well, I had a K700i, so I don't know if its that phone or SE that gave me all the mess.

Looking forward to more replies, if I can afford 5700 then I might get it .

I just know that its slow. The moderately fast phone is the 5700. Thats one of the reasons my friend Anusha got it. (And if you have any arguments with that, please feel free to do it with the IT boss himself)

Machan the N73 is also very slow in processing. I have seen it in action. Compared to that my w810 is faster. Yet it is slower than the 5700.
If you get your hands on a w series SE, check it out. I'm pretty sure that K700 is the one that gave you a bad time.

Oooh, speaking of which, remember the speed the photos appear in the File manager in that k700i? Thats the speed of the N 70 and the N 73 sometimes. I dont think you want that hell

I recommend N73.I got N73 phone in Sri Lanka 36k in Unity Plaza(made by fhinland one)

i mean apart from making calls and sms, do u want a good camera phone or music or ..........

if youre after music then i would think SE W610 maybe? its camera isnt good although its 2MP. and it will be under Rs. 28k i think.

N73ME is not that slow,its faster than w810i IMO in image processing(image loading,slide show). I Don't have hands on experience with the 5700,if u want anything to clarify about it ask Anusha

N95 is way out of my budget . N73 MIGHT buyable but I still have to go and check out shops.

A decent camera, LOTS OF MUSIC, few pictures...maybe web browsing as well.

What abt Nokia 6120. not a symbiyan phn. but has 16.7m colour dispaly. 2mp camera. and sound is good. and it'll suit ur budget as well. i think u can get it around 30k in softlogic. check it's specs on gsm arena or any other site.

Oh! M2 memory

Well not all da same, but i agree with you that if the price differ that much u have a point.

W610 has walkman2 (which has mp3 song id3 recognition ... ), software is better/faster, also IMHO phone looks much better and stylish (anyone who seen it one flesh will know what i mean)
Also M2 is usually faster than other Memory sticks and it is getting bigger storage and affordable as its the future (or actually present) for SE phones.

Also i dont know its price for sure all I know is its surely under 28k, it maybe less.

but yes if you are looking for a good camera better stick with w810as it got a better 2mp. but if you thinking to sell it in some time getting the new model will has some benifits.

Music is always better in SE walkmans, especially with included earphones. try it with MEGABASS settings and feell

Also usually SE small screens than similar nokia shones so if you're into web browsing that might hurt.
But because SE screen is smaller it got smaller pixels than others, that makes the screen images look better even though its smaller.
