CRT's should be avoided with this much of a budget
He'll have to ship the VGA card from abroad. Otherwise, it's just a waste of money - for his budget.
I think to see any advantages of buying an Audigy card over the integrated HD audio, he has to buy an Audigy X-Fi series. But then again, Creative's drivers are having problems with Vista.

Difference between 320GB and 200GB is not that much that buying a 120GB less HDD is not a good idea.

But no point going for an Augidy 1 or even an Audigy 2 these days, if you are not into music production. But even if you are into music production, there are better cards than Audigy (including X-Fi) for that purpose.

That must have been a mistake. 8500 was last Monday. Kingston DDR2-667 ValueRAM is around US$62.99, so Rs.6400 is impossible.

Forget EPSI. They are jokers. I'm talking about the whole Unity Plaza. It was normally Rs.8500 and lowest was Rs. 8400. Rs.2000 down in 1 week? No way!

They are not that expensive. Around US$100-150 or even less. Audigy is for gamers, not for audio producers. An Audigy without saturated graphics (Geforce 7900GS at least) will be like running a Core 2 Duo with 256MB RAM

Fine if the US price is around US$50. But 62.99 and Rs.6400! No way! But you know, if they made a mistake, there's very little chance that people will see it at Barclays, because the person at the counter doesn't know anything about the prices.

For the thread starter..
U can hav a PC which is called a super one in LK for that price.Wait till the start of may until the new stocks come out.Here r few tips.
For that money get a 17"LCD.Dont go more than it If u do not do any kind of editin.It will be a waste.
VGA price will be the xfactor.First hav a decent VGA frm EPSI or Netcom.Then with the left bucks , arrange the PC.
Dont go for an AMD one coz no parts in LK.
Sumthing like this would do.

U can cut off from mobo+PSU.And if u wanna hit the sounds,card readers,BT,IR,everything else go for a 7600GS 512MB @ 25k.saved 20 will get u those stuff.
