Here's what I think you can buy:

C2D E6400
Asus P5B-E motherboard
1GB x 2 DDR2-667 Kingston
320GB HDD
Samsung 19" LCD 5ms or better
5.1 Altec Lansing Speakers
ASUS 600W PSU + casing
18x or 20x DVDRW

* If you can find, Geforce 8800GTS 320MB or 8600GTS 256MB.

* Hmm, I dont like that mother board. Its a normal traditional shit. There is a ASUS mother board for 30,000 bucks. ( im not sure its model number. If u visit to SL ASUS center u can decide lots of things ) That mother board comes with lots of cool stuf. like on board fully optimized IrdA ports. On board BLUETOOTH or WiFi ( one ver. comes with Bluetooth and other one is comes with onboard WiFi ) Awesome hardwired HTPC remote controller ( It also can turn on ur PC when its completely shudown mode). And superbly optimized for OVERCLOCKERS. And plenty of other options. U cant find those type options on normal traditional boards.

* I think 800 kingston RAMs r now in SL

* And y dont u go for a big wide screen LCDs ( LG, SAMSUNG < I can recommand those )

* And I dont like to talk about that kind of mini sound systems in here.

Then ask him to double his budget :P

P5B-E is better than the P5WD unless u go for CrossFire configuration (SLI is not supported) P5B-E is one of the best boards available.

DDR2-800 is only needed for FSB1600 CPUs or if you are overclocking. If the prices are the same, then fine. Otherwise no point. For example, I'm running my DDR2-667 RAMs at 800MHz without changing the timings nor voltage.

Where to find those big widescreen monitors? Widescreen is fine for movies, but if he plays games, that could be an awkward aspect ratio.

Sounds? I don't wanna talk about them. You are the sounds freak :D

By overclocking, I mean up to FSB1600. Up to FSB1333, DDR2-667 is enough.

Still I cant imagine. But machan that ASUS P5WD board comes with hardwired HTPC remote controller. Its not like normal software controled PC REMOTES ( like shit PIXELVIEW TV REMOTE ). And some other cool options. SO that type of M boards r perfect for my future projects.

If you were talking about the features, then I guess it's better. But performance wise, P5B is not inferior to it.

I don't need such a motherboard!!! P5B would be more than enough for me.
