Then, burn your data to DVDs (if you want more redundancy, keep a mirror copy of each DVD)

Sory Machan I mean not all my Hard Drive. Only windows partition

well i only use DVD's and write them @ 4X only

On high quality media, you will not see any difference between the burn quality of 4x and 16x. Example, Taiyo Yuden DVDs.

Yes thats right. But machan if u burn on unbranded DVDs 4X is the best speed.

I had few Imation 16X DVD+Rs and the quality was very bad at 16x, 12x, 8x, 4x and even 2.4x (the lowest supported on my burner). I hate them! Very bad for backups. You are better off having them on your hard drive
