Help on 64 Bit Computing

    why u installing 64bit version ?? don't install 64bit Vista some software's not compatible with 64bit. I also install 64 bit vista 1st then i'm moved 4 32 bit version due to compatible issues.

    but u can't use more than 4GB RAM with 32bit :P
    can't use register 2^64 and only can 2^32 ;
    64bit great for calculating.,.....
    and it seems more speedy...

    ane manda mata awul....
    anyway i'm gonna install 64bit ...coz i still remeber win3.1 -->win95(16bit -->32bit) with Pentium CPU :P

    Vista SP-1 will work with 4GB RAM

    4GB is the max limit for 32bit processors. You need a 64bit processor to utilize more than 4GB memory.

    using 32bit sfotware on a 64 bit platform will not be a problem as the 64bit platform fully supports the 32bit code set. (Atleast on linux, there's no such issue. 32bit apps work just fine on 64bit linux OS).
