Helppppp:::AVI to MKV Converters

hi. I badly need a AVI to MKV Converter. I got so many movies in my HDD, and im running out of Disk space, but there are lot more to download. so i thought of converting avi files to mkv, i tried this "RipBot264" but most avi files can't be converted by it.. can you pls help me to find one.. a free one or a one with a crack.
