In 1965, after provoking a fire in a forest, the rebel teenager Heather Fasulo is sent to the boarding school Falburn Academy in the middle of the woods by her estranged mother Alice Fasulo and her neglected father Joe Fasulo. The dean Ms. Traverse accepts Heather in spite of the bad financial condition of her father. The displaced Heather becomes close friend of he weird Marcy Turner, while they are maltreated by the abusive mate Samantha Wise. During the nights, Heather has nightmares and listens to voices from the woods, and along the days she believes that the school is a coven of witches. When some students, including Marcy, simply vanish, Heather believes she will be the next one.
Almost every urban legend ever focuses on a babysitter; some poor hapless girl trying to make a bit of extra money looking after a kid while a lunatic lurks outside. In Babysitter Wanted, the babysitter is certainly vulnerable – she’s a new college student with an overly religious mother, a drug-addled roommate, and very few other friends – but the threat doesn’t quite come from the quarter you’d expect. Yet again, this film’s strength is its writing and characterisation. It’s also well shot and acted; it’s scary, and gory, and surprising, and everything else you could possibly want from a horror movie.
The titular Julia is losing her sight due to a mysterious disease that also affected her sister – who, apparently, felt the loss of her sight so keenly that she committed suicide. Julia doesn’t believe her sister really killed herself, though, and sets out to prove that she was murdered. But with her own sight failing, it’s difficult to follow up on any of the clues. All she has to go on are obscure references, by people who knew her sister, to an invisible man; a man without a face, whom no one can quite remember. It’s a wonderfully creepy premise, cleverly shot so that we can’t see much more than Julia most of the time. It feels giallo-influenced, and resolves itself satisfyingly if not happily.
When a producer suggests that screenwriter Grace Mitchel pen a horror story set in an old hotel, the long-abandoned Lyndora seems the perfect inspiration. The turn-of-the-century hotel is known for its rough and seedy past - the doors to its rooms sealed 50 years ago following a series of gruesome murders and local lore says it's haunted. Despite the reservations of family and friends, an undaunted Grace takes up residence in the eerie inn to immerse herself in
writing. But now that the doors are open, the secrets of the past begin to emerge. As disturbing, but seemingly explicable, events begin to escalate, Grace struggles to define reality from insanity and begins a descent into darkness from which some will never return

date is August 28th. I know someoen will re-encode this, make people's faces look
like they were painted on with crayon, and make the background have so much
digital noise that the video in motion is unwatchable, and THEN, them and
everyone else will pretend it's some amazing thing, when in reality it's
garbage, but in the meantime, enjoy a rip that represents the video as the
filmmakers wished it to be seen.
