How is the connection speed in slt ADSL

will increasing the number of Maximum Half Open Connections effect the internet speed?

it improves torrent download speeds
first you have to hack Xp and increae the limit to 50 or value you like and then change it from your torrent client too.

We may be thats coz you in Kurunagala. But in colombo you can reach 58+ with a download manager. You checked with torrents right? So how about HTTP or FTP split file downloading with IDM or such download manager?

from download managers i usually get around 54-55 KBps ... i've checked with a guy in Kandy too.. hes getting the same speeds.. and PPL DONT CHECK SPEEDS WITH THE MALE SERVER... we dont download download from Dhiraaghu!! check speeds from Penang server In malaysia.. its the best comparison

That's not a miracle!.In torrent we can get around 60 kb/s in sri lanka,If we have many seeders and peers.

Dialog Wimax is still in their testing phase.

Now that we have competition, SLT SHOULD reduce their ADSL tariffs.
