Also the fixed 8 AM work start time is also not common..usually there's flexible time, or a grace time period to start work, like from 8-10 etc.But it is very common to expect long hours of work...you can't come at 8 and leave at 5 in a typical software company..the work is stressful and you face unexpeted issues most of the times..so you have to work long hours to catch up with the estimations..</blockquote>
