1. Watch videos with subtitles, even though you can understand the words. (especially documentaries and educational videos) That helps a lot with involuntarily mastering sentence structures. It also eliminates common pronunciation errors because you hear the words as you read them. How to be fluent in english like Indrajith Gamage ?

Thank you bro, @IndrajithGamage1. Watch videos with subtitles, even though you can understand the words. (especially documentaries and educational videos) That helps a lot with involuntarily mastering sentence structures. It also eliminates common pronunciation errors because you hear the words as you read them.
2. Try to write something in English everyday. Doesn't matter what. Find some interesting topic, and rewrite what you learnt somewhere. (make a Facebook post etc) If there's nothing to write, use my arrears method. Just find someone to annoy, comment on their post or feed, and try to get them to argue about something. Argue in English. The adrenaline filled need to argue back and forth, the need to gather thoughts and type it fast makes you far better at sentence formulation.
3. Use SwiftKey as your keyboard. I'm an early adopter of everything Microsoft and their journey through AI development, and acquiring SwiftKey was one. It's simply the best predictive keyboard out there, and helps enormously with making you accurate at spelling words correctly. Added bonus is, it's the fastest Sinhala keyboard out there as well, much better than හෙළකුරු or GBoard. Switching between the two languages is a breeze as well, something you commonly see in my writing.
4. Try to think in English. English and Sinhala are two vastly different languages, and it doesn't help that we have to mostly speak in Sinhala with each other in friendly settings but have to switch to English in professional roles. We inadvertently built a rift between the two, which is why most good English speakers are horrible at writing. When you start to think about stuff in English, be it simple stuff like which route I'm going to take, what I'm going to eat tonight etc, you start to familiarize with the language more in casual settings. That's an enormous help to ensure that words flow naturally when you try to write something.
I have more pointers but I guess these four are the most important. Good luck with your learning.
