I don't like to call to 5375375 'cos I don't know my request is possible or impossible.
If my phone doesn't support connect to PC to send SMSs, I'll be jeered at their hot line...

so that I want to find another way to connect my PC...

    Where I'm now
Nope,I dont think u can send and receive SMS via Lanka bell fone..
If its possible too u must have the software used to authoring into the HUAWEI phone. The same software that they use to service, maintain, get stored data and save data in the phone.I dont think anybody have that software. And u will have to use the COM to COM port cable not the COM to USB cable for this task..:rolleyes:
These r my ideas, wait for another one or two...
2 if ya seen this in da TV somewhat it might b possible coz the company could have given some authoring software that can communicate with da fone..

    LankaBell E-mail via SMS
From Lanka Bell, now comes a convenient and effective way you can send and receive Emails. This is a feature you now have at your disposal in your versatile Lanka Bell CDMA phone. You don’t need a computer but your Lanka Bell CDMA phone enables you to use this facility. 1. How do I register for Email via SMS?
Before you begin to send or receive any Emails, you would need to Register for this Facility. To register:
    1. You would have to send an Email to 1567with the following message : email<space>reg
    2. On receiving your message, you would receive a confirmation via SMS from the Call Centre saying ‘Registration Successful”
    3. You can then begin using this Email facility.
    4. There would also be a (one-time) Registration Fee of Rs. 100/- for this facility
    2. Once you register your email address will be as follows
    Eg:
If your telephone number is : 011 5676767,Your Email address will now be:[email protected]
You can then ask your friends and family to e mail you.
There is no extra cost for receiving Emails on your Lanka Bell CDMA phone.

    3. How do I send an Email?
To send an Email follow the same procedure as you would to send an SMS, and enter your message.
To send an email type email<space>receiver’s email address<space>your message and send it to 1567
Ex: You want to invite your friend Nimal, whose email address [email protected] for a birthday party, you would type:
email<space>[email protected]<space>would be looking forward to your Company at my birthday party on the 24th August at 6.30 pm.
Also note that Emails containing attachments or pictures cannot be sent through a Lanka Bell CDMA phone.
    4. How do I read an Email I have received ?
This feature is just like reading an SMS. Go to your InBox and scroll down to the Email you want to access.

    6. How much would I have to pay to send an email.?
You would be charged a nominal fee of Rs.2/- plus taxes per email. All incoming Emails are free of charge.

Couldn't there be any chance that the problem is with.....well.....you? I mean, ask an elder to talk to them. My dad didn't have that problem when he wanted to get a CDMA connection sorted out.

Yes , but I dont use my fathers powers.
Well Anusha ayya When I wanted to get my Inet connection I paid them the money waited a month to get the connection.
I went to the branch two times and told them i havent got ma connection activated.
My father works in TRCSL [i think u knw here coz ure in Telecom engineering]
when I told him about this he gave a call and that night[after about 4 hours]
lkbell called me and pleaded mercy and said they have activated it,they missed it by mistake and not to go so far
telling high officers in TRC.I told him that ma father is who u call he suddenly said thank you and hanged up.
After that I've got no trouble..now they even send us note pads, calenders, shirts various things..

By the way, I experience 15kbps in the Morning. that's the fastest speed I can find for a Day. after 7.00am, It's also losts. in the Night, I only get 2 or 3kbps...
But my Connection ststus says I've connected under 230kbps...
Why is this big difference... ???

    Where I'm now
    Well actually u connect @ 163.2 Kbps.
And remember it Kilo bits per sec.Not KiloBytes.I usually a get a 4~5 kbps speed. And coz i use TCPOptimizer,Fasterfox,IDM like things I get much speed than that. When dloading I get to about 20Kbps..
The connection bandwidth depends on howmany fones r their in ur network area right now working..
Speediest time is frm 1 a.m to 5. a.m .Sleep early and wake up in da morning to dload things..or connect to elakiri and try hard to submit forms frm 9~12 p.m!!
Cmon dont leave us,Its gr8 here!!!
