Can anyone tell me how to format ubuntu and install xp.

I recently bought a laptop which was pre loaded with ubuntu.
I want to install xp or vista. But the windows cd does not detects the hard disk.

Can anyone help me on this pls.

What's the laptop make and model ? what's the hardware spec ? especially the hard disk details.

Hmm.. since thats a Sata drive you may have to give the drivers if you're planning to install XP. Vista should install just fine on that.

However since you have a far more stable and secure OS already on that laptop, why not use it ?

well ,if you're up for a bit if learning, keep using Ubuntu. There are loads of support sites for it.
Otherwise vista will will install without any problems in that laptop.

    Got it fixed.

Another issue. My user manual says bluetooth available. But when i tried to install the bluetooth driver it says bluetooth chip not found. Whats this problem ? I have installed vista.

Check the BIOS settings. It maybe disabled from there.
Also some models in the same range has bluetooth while others doesnt but they both have the same manual so check that as well.
