Page rank mainly depends on number of inbound links.
But having a higher page rank will not give lot of traffic. It will make your appear higher in the listing for your desired keywords. Anyway its basically for a typical site.

About ElaKiri i have totally different strategy and trying to increase pagerank will give some disadvantages.
