There is this horde/ally factions split no one is bad guy. I chose to play ally cuz I liked them from the original wc3. Some races have slight advantages (racial bonuses) but it becomes negligible when u high level.There are melee classes Warrior - good for tanking and spanking, Paladin - Offensive support can withstand heavy punishment and heal, Priest - primary healer of a group, rogue - stealth speed  and good damageShaman - both ranged and melee combat. Like a more spell oriented paladin. More damage.mage - possibly highest DPS(damage per second) class in game very weak in melee but deadly in ranged spell attackWarlock - another magic class. can command pets.Hunter - very good ranged DPS can command pets.so choose a class according to your playing style. And don't forget to do some google searches like 'how to choose best race/class in wow'I'm drax, a human pally ingame.
