im going to get an airtel unlimited connection (1.8 Mbps) but have a few problems.
will any unlocked modem work with it.
how do you get the connection? do you just go and tell them or u have to take the modem and go.
is the connection stable and get same speed most of the time?
what is the average speed you get on utorrent
i also heard that it heats up alot. i normally use internet for like 7 hours streight. will this be a a problem?

yes, any unlocked modem work with it.
u don't have to take the modem to them, just go and ask for a data sim.
and i don't know the answers for other problems....

First check is there 3G available or not . just go to airtel branch ask for airtel data sim u just need ur ID card.any unlocked modems works for any service provider

Check whether you have HSDPA signals,and if signals are stable, the modem won't get heated much, I use my dialog broadband with Huawei E220 for about 12 hrs a day without disconnecting. if you have a poor signal reception, there are possibilities of modem getting heated. But, don't forget to make sure that you have Airtel 3.5G coverage, 3G (WCDMA) is not enough to get the full 1.8mb/s, you should be connected to HSPA (3.5G) to get the full speed.
