Exactly, we all are humans and we do behave like that. Nice thought which is very true.

That is my point exactly :D He did it - to gain something :)

But the approach he took was not correct ne? That's what I'm telling about.

He used many internet users to fulfil his objectives by selling patriotism. Is it correct?

Yes definitely I don't know what he thought. - no proof  That's why I'm not blaming him in even by a word. But I'm utterly disappoint with the approach he took. and that's what I'm telling 'Wrong' :)

P:S: Okkomalla awasthaawaadiyo. mama, uba unath ehemai. :)
as i mentioned before [ truely] i din gt ny intrest abt this MIA & Delon madness

if smebody saiz u blame delon or nyother person from ur very 1st post , after reading the whole thread ... he/she is gt awrng point ... well in dat case even if i was dere if u were dere or if one of us were dere [ i mean if one of us waz delon] we might took da same approach or may be a diff approach which is way better than this or more wrst than this ... it depends on the person N wht exactly gt into dat person'z mind @ 1st place neda? im not interested about MIA or delon. MIA sings well and she is popular. but that LTTE bitch supporting to terrorists. so f*** her. i have nt watched even one of delons videos fully cuz i personally dont like his style and the way he performe. thats me. my personal idea.

now a days no one do anything for nothing. he got a huge welcome and he become so popular among Sri lankans cuz of his anti MIA thing. as XP he is gonna use that popularity and gonna use it sell his new album. cant see anything wrong. may be he started this with pure mind and after he may thought to use it.

Yes XP u have a point

Delon has also created a clothing line called lion wear!

But at that moment when he released paper planes diss he has done a great thing
Because we didn't had anything to show to the LTTE supporters. And
others(world) to who MIA really is.
delon created a sound for sri lankans and he's using it for his popularity.
you can see iraj mocking at prabha in kottu video may b for same reason.

    Good thread in Pro section.
Anyway machan as i think we need someone like Delon in international arena to make our sound in the same style which MIA used to promote terrorism or so called freedom fighting.
    Well said........100% agreed,

It could be a win/win situation, Delon promotes his Album, & world get to know the truth about LTTE, no one suffers..................right?

I dont think he had done any harm to anyone......................

Well, let’s not forget that Music is his business. If he is doing something good for our country in the course of his business, that’s really good- - Isn’t it? Of course he is trying to be popular through this M.I.A saga. If he can achieve something from it- - -good on him. But the bottom line is, he has been successful in creating some awareness internationally about the LTTE and its terrorist activities.

    Ps. Great thread by X-pert! - - - This is a topic which should be discussed in-depth. - -

Yes. Definitely I will take the same approach if I would to earn money. Because in Sri Lanka patriotism, war are the main means of earning money. That's the point I wanted to show by this thread machang :)

Most of we are "awasthaawaadiyo" and we try to "kala dutu kala wala iha ganna" That's the Sri Lankan nature [sadly] Eventhough it is wrong...

Can't see anything wrong in what he is doing machang. All I'm saying is using people's love for their country to market a product is wrong. May it be DeLon, Cargils or even the president.

But for the people who thought DeLon really cared ONLY about the country, this is a lesson which will teach exactly what you said - "now a days no one do anything for nothing."

Definitely a good marketing strategy :D

And yes. I will consider DeLon as a real real realll patriot if he donates the profit he gets by selling those T-Shirts :) Fair enough, isn't it? :)

    But I doubt it

And yes. DeLon did a great thing by educating the international community in a way..
But personally I don't think that the target audience for that particular education is youtube viewers :) youtube viewers are the target market of gaining popularity - to sell albums. If he published the diss in TV stations and radio stations - well, then he has achieved what we thought he is doing :D

30 dollars a piece machan. datz almost 3200 rupees :baffled: so if he can donate atleast 15 dollars from one T-shirt to ppl who are suffering from war then thats great!
(assuming that cost of a T-shirt is less than 15 dollars ;) )
