I'm vegan, even though you advice you don't seem to mind your business sorry. If you were, you wouldn't be encouraging people to eat meat. Buddhism might not say "don't eat meat" then where in Buddhism does it say "Do eat meat" ??? where ??? The Buddha only had approved eating meat under specific conditions [Thricotica parishuddha mansaya]. And that's nothing like "you should eat meet" it's like "If you have to, then it should be under these conditions"


And never ever forget that the first in Pancha seela is "Panathipatha weramani" Not to kill living beings/ and not to help kill living beings either.

Dear friend, eating meat might not be a sin under certain conditions, but being vegatarian/vegan for the sole purpose of saving those lives, wishing their lives to be saved by your action is definitely a merit.

I was a 100% Vegetarian for 1 1/2 years. It has only been 2 months since i gave up the vegetarianism. Still haven't touched beef and has no plans to do so. Reason for me to give up because in Sri Lanka there arn't many places for a vegetarian to eat, plus in my line of work it's difficult to be too concern over food. But it's a shame that we all humans are so bloody advance yet we got no other option but to butcher the other inferior creatures and eat them. I guess it's high time that someone invest more money and start researching on artificial yet identical meat product. I salute to whoever invented the soya meat. Currently i am sticking on to chicken and fish even though i know how much they suffer to die. I know it's sad but i am also damn helpless over here.
