There's no inherent mechanism in DHCP to maintain the leases chronologically, because it's impractical. Just imagine the load that would have to be borne by the network if every 10 hours every single computer connected to it had to renew their DHCP lease at the same time. It's a logistical fail. Having said that, I haven't noticed any adverse effects from it, uTorrent copes with it fine. And if you do have a long download, simply cycle your connection prior to beginning the download, or use a download manager like DAP or GetRight.</p></blockquote><p></p>
