The way I recommend you to follow! If I briefly give you an introduction about my career! I'm an Engr and I have the following qualifications. 1. BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering - 1st Class 2. HND in Software Engineering 3. C&G PG Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering 4. MSc in Cyber Security 5. MBA 6. Member of IET, Member of IEEE, AMIESL, AMIIESL, IEng of ECUK, PEng UK and many more...... * Now I'm going to do another MSc degree in Engineering and Currently I'm seeking to be Charterd at ECUK Also my final aim is to become a PhD holding Engr. * Yes It is true that you can't get IESL membership only with a BSc in Software Engineering degree. But you can follow the below procedures which I strongly recommend you to do.. 1. Complete your degree 2. Choose a suitable MSc degree which offers by University of Moratuwa or Do a Post graduate diploma in Mechtronics/ Electronics/ Automation/ Robotic Engineering (C&G is preferred) 3. Then do a MBA 4. After everything mentioned above is done, get the memberships from the following institutions IET, IEEE, ECUK, BCS 5. Then keep working for at least 4 years in an automation/ computer/ robotics/ electronic engineering related field 6. Then get the IEng title from ECUK 7. Now you can apply for IESL.. You know what pal! I have some friends who got IESL without doing Mathematics for their A/Ls Also i have seen some members who do not have A/Ls... So don't give up.. Try..... :D:D:lol:This is what I understood by looking at the people around me ;). Getting only IESL membership doesn't mean that actually you are an engr. Engineering never comes based on physical evidences. It comes from the body... :D Hint: you know what, there are many people who got IESL memberships without having A/L's and also became chartered . (Personally I have seen them ) But everybody had an experience of at least 10 yrs or + Good Luck!! :D
