But for me, it remains a theory. And it is not belief because anyone can come up with such explanation. To show it's serious enough to be held as a belief, I need to know the origin of this knowledge. Because in religion, it's not only the beliefs which matter..but also the origin of those beliefs and how true they are. To prove it's a fact..you have to use the scientific method and get evidence. Alternatively you can base it on just faith if you have a divine source for this knowledge. Someone, maybe you, earlier said that the Buddha got this knowledge due to the state of nirvana that he was in. But this itself needs proof...what is this state of nirvana? Has anyone else, and in the modern times, experience such things? And is the origin of this knowledge from people who have attained this state? Islam believes that revelation was brought through the Angel Gabriel.  Now the existence of this angel needs to be credible in itself, but Islam attributes it's knowledge to something outside..something divine. Just like in Christianity...where the Christians attribute their scriptures to be inspired by the Holy Spirit..which is divine.But in the case of Buddhism there is no outside entity that is claimed to have given men this knowledge. It is as if men have got it by themselves. The state of nirvana itself was not outside the Buddha but he was within it.. and this to me is quite fishy.Anyway can I know from where did you get this picture. From a book? Can I know the name of the book? It's informative and enlightening...but there are some doubts. For example, how does nirvana come into this..this life after life? What happens if a person gets nirvana?Also I thought some of us will be reborn as lower beings - as animals....but there isn't any animal plane mentioned :/ Also  guess having such beliefs is very dangerous, unless it's true. For one thing, it explains the high suicide rates in SL.And also why do Buddhists worship the Buddha? Are you supposed to worship those who attain the state of nirvana?</blockquote>
