In a Mood for Major Flavaz?

Then you should head down to the Kularathne Auditorium of Ananda College Auditorium on February 14, for this unique concert hosted by L-I-F-E!
This project by L-I-F-E will be launched at the venue and will be launched by the famous Sri Lankan Music stars Bathiya and Santhush who will entertain and thrill you in aid of the “Api Wenuwen Api” fund.
Valentine’s Day? Ooops!
Incidentally, the event happens to find its way on to another special day for all couples out there and when I asked the organizers about this they told me that it would be even more special then!“Since it is going to be held on the lover’s day it will be a valentine special for all the lovers who want to make that day one of the most special days in their lives. Join with us and make the whole year with full of love.”
That was not all though. I was also informed about the line up for the night.

Interestingly, this will be the launch pad for a new Sri Lankan Band “DOCTOR” which has two famous names in its line up in Lanthra and Krishan. They told me that even as young school goers, music has been their ambition in life and today forming the band “DOCTOR” has made this dream a reality.
I was given a sneak preview of their newest hit song ‘Athamai Kiyanne’ and a small clip of it, and warned that it would be one of those songs you just want to keep singing over and over again. I learned that it would “Tingle my senses”. Their prediction came true 30 seconds into the video and I’m waiting to hear the rest of it!

The organizers also revealed why this show would be different from others. “The uniqueness and the specialty of this show is that all these artists will release a new song to the public on this evening and also they will be introducing two new amazingly talented artists who will make this even more special in many ways.
Sri Lankas next top hits will be starting along with this night. Be lucky to listen to them 1st and enjoy”
Tickets for the show will be priced at 1500, 1000 and 750 and will be available at all the Baby care outlets, Urban Kitchen at Union Place and also at EN Vogue at Majestic City. Tickets will be also available at the entrance on that day.

L-I-F-E is a Project by a “Bunch of Friends” at APIIT who are studying for their higher education and TCS spoke to them regarding the event and they had some interesting things to say. “Looking at the country’s prevailing situation, it is clear to us that the brave soldiers of the three armed forces are doing a tremendous job to safeguard the sovereignty and the democracy of this beautiful island by endangering their precious lives. Given this current situation, LiFe has taken a social responsibility effort to organize a night’s quest of entertainment ‘Major Flavaz’, to raise funds for a worthy cause. The objective is to gift the total revenue of this project to the “Api Wenuwen Api” fund. (Be together for all fund) (http://www.apiwenuwenapi.co.uk/)
“LiFe is a “bunch of friends”, also a group of students studying for their undergraduate education at APIIT Lanka. As young graduates of the future, they have already begun practicing their responsibility towards community service.
LiFe is taking an initiative to support our brothers and sisters who are committed to bringing peace to our motherland – Sri Lanka. This is their way of demonstrating their gratitude and appreciation to them. The idea is to “Sow Seeds for Bond Creation, a journey of thousand smiles begins with a single step.”

As is the case any project is backed by able members who contribute to make it a success. LIFE comprises of 13 individuals who make up this team and the organizing committee. They are Tharanga Chandrasekara, Gayan Dananjaya and Yoshitha Kulatunga who are ably backed by the tremendous support of Eroshini, Dimantha, Minendra, Arshad, Fazaal, Yasitha, Nuwanthi1, Nuwanthi2, Indeewari, Rochana, Sudantha, Shashika & Imesha.
