But we get about two or more families joining us when they hear about our plans. More than that is a bit impractical as there's a limit on how many can travel in a van with baggage. Because I always prefer to hire a vehicle and drive, so you could to much more than a set itinerary from a travel agent.  But in some countries you need an agent. eg: We were in Egypt last December and we joined an organised tour, mainly due to security concerns.
