when they won the 1st test,it was their first test match victory after 36 years,

they have such a poor record over seas,anyway they won the serie 1-0

Such scenes were witnessed quite often by Indian fans as Team India lost the Test series 0-2 and one-day series 2-5 in a mainly low-scoring series. The series was played over December 2002-January 2003, a time of the year in which the ball swings like crazy in New Zealand. The bowlers of both the teams had a far better outing than their batting colleagues. Though not a series that will be remembered by fans, the losses were a huge dent in India's pride, while the victories were a massive boost to New Zealand's
