South indian actors may pose for a picture to get some money, which will be then used in posters to advertise those events.. thats their job. I strongly doubt that they will know that this helps the White pigeon movement which is linked with providing money for the LTTE.
P.S. Yes Im a muslim, but this wont affect me much caz im not into south indian cinema. just north indian. n North indian cinema has got nothing to do with it. so im not speaking bcaz i wont get to watch movies.

The whole of South India support LTTE either financially or morally, THAT'S A FACT!!
Have you seen Karunanidhi's comments for the Tamilselvan he stands for Indian Govt. and for south Indian people, and he pay his condolances to a LTTE leader who killed his own country men / politician Rajiv Gandhi!
And he is in lot of trouble as for now! so does many other small politikkos under him because as long as LTTE rule the North they can do their dirty business!!
And how can I be so sure... I'm not 100% sure but I know this, as you may know recently their biggest "charity" organization TRO was banned in UK that was a huge slap on the face for LTTE, now they've formed another one called "White Pigeon", and South Indian actors comes to perform under their organization... what does that tell you?
Are you absoultly sure that these South Indian does not know what they are into? I don't think so! they have even done films with distort the image of Sri Lanka as a whole... If you say they has got nothing do with war then that's wrong for example have you seen a movie called "Kannathil Muththamittal"? the story trying to draw sympathy for LTTE big time!!!
I'm not talking about North Indian cinema (although its crap too!), South Indian cinema however definitely trying to promote propaganda.. NOT ALL THOUGH!!

But one thing bro.. you must understand if this land divides Sinhalese and Muslims are the ones who will suffer most.. all of them whom in North and NE will be displaced PERMANENTLY, LTTE will almost definitely will either chase them away of start a genocide!!

but ill tell wht i know i watched "Kannathil Muthamittal" and its not protraying sinhalese (sorry Sri Lankans) as bad. infact the co-charactor sri lankan played by south indian is a very humanitarian doc who sees both tamils and sinhalese in same view.

About "Kannathil Muthamittal" it says a story about a Tamil who joins LTTE and get killed by Army forces because of that his family face lot of trouble!! So if you happen to be someone who doesn't know anything on this conflict your first sympathy will go to Terrorists!! as simple as that... for example some of the Tamils here dont even know about the SL problem but they support LTTE because they've only understood the conflict through these type of movies!! WHAT A PITY!!
Other thing is the actor who acts in the movie maybe a knowledgeable person, but these type of movies doesn't really appeal or built to be enjoyed by the knowledgeable audience!! so you must be careful what you feeding them!! they'll take anything for granted!!

Yes i have watched kannathil mutthamittal.. yes they were trying to earn sympathy for LTTE. I have to agree. however theres a lotta sri lankan influence in that film too. newayz its been a long time since i watched it so wont comment any further on it. I see it as one of the very few pro LTTE movies done by kollywood (tamil cinema).
matter of taste and opinion!

The posters invite people to a show on Thai-Pongal day next week sponsored by an organisation allegedly close to Tamil Tigers, the government-owned Daily News said.
White Pigeon, the newly formed "charity" allegedly linked to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) that replaced the activities of the Tamil Rehabilitation Organisation after it was banned in the United Kingdom "is vigorously promoting the event unobstructed in the United Kingdom", the newspaper claimed.
"Alexandra Palace in London, the venue where thousands of LTTE supporters converged to pay their last respects to the remains of Britain-based leader Anton Balasingham and collect funds will be once again used on the coming Thai - Pongal day to raise one million pounds to procure arms for terrorism," the daily said.
Brightly coloured posters have come up at Indian and Sri Lankan shops in the London Metropolitan area, carrying pictures of South Indian mega stars, advertising the musical extravaganza, it said.
Sources close to the organisers said 40 per cent of the tickets have been already sold for this coming Thai-Pongal musical festival scheduled to be held January 12.
Thai Pongal is a major Hindu festival connected with the harvesting time and falls on Janu 14. (Agencies)

Paris, 11 January, (Asiantribune.com): The group of mega artists from South India who are scheduled to take part to raise funds for “White Pigeon”- a discreet front organization for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in London will openly fund raise, for the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) in Paris, banned in many countries for pumping money to the coffers of the Tamil Tigers.
The TRO, a questionable charity was banned in the United Kingdom and was replaced by White Pigeon, while its predecessor TRO is yet to be banned in France although a request has been made by the Sri Lankan authorities to the French government to do so.
Pro-LTTE Tamil weekly, Eela Murusu, published in Paris carried an advertisement paid by the TRO that said that immediately following the White Pigeon’s London Mega Musical show at the Alexandra Palace the South Indian performing artists will leave for Paris to take part in the TRO’s Paris show at Salle LSC Eurosite.
