Mostly population gap. Since India is 63 or 64 bigger than SL. Lets say hypothetically per average if one Dev from SL gets into Google, then it should 63/64 from India.
Unless the guy from SriLanka is a genius, IIT graduates are always better than SL engineers.
But same as SL, some of the others in IT are just below or same as us. Have first hand experience on working with Indians in IT, .
Seems it depends..
