It's been 6 years since International rap star DeLon made history as the first Sri Lankan artist to place on the U.S Billboard charts first with his single "Calor de la Salsa (The Heat Of Salsa) in 2005 off of his debut album "The Connection," and then again in 2007 with his single "Nasty Girl" from his second album "Unstoppable." Now he's back with a new sound and a new EP set to drop November 28th titled "S.O.N ~Something Out of Nothing".
After winning the "Best Rap Performance" at the Derana Music Video Awards in his homeland, DeLon recently showed off a different type of performance on the big screen, as the starring role in the Sri Lankan "cricket epic" Sinhawalokanaya. Spending the last two years in the UK, DeLon has been preparing for his US return by burning up the airwaves in Europe with the success of his 3 singles "Slow It Down" "Put Your Hands Up" and "This Is The Life".
Now after taking some time to revamp his style, DeLon is back with a more a more pop driven EP that speaks to his love of world music. "I loved spending time in Europe because they have such an appreciation for good music. I really grew as an artist and this project is so much better than any of my other projects and I'm excited to be back in the states with great music." With an all-star team including co-producers Daniel and Jacob Luttrell, video director Rock Jacobs, producer Pablo Cornejo, and celebrity stylist Marc Little John his first offering from his upcoming EP series is the sexy Pop anthem "Body Rock" The video debuts this week as a precursor to the 7 song EP, S.O.N~Something Out of Nothing and will feature rapper TY$ (Toot It and Boot It) and several hot newbies who contribute new freshness to the party EP.
The first EP will drop November 28 with the follow up dropping in February featuring the single "Body Rock".
