That's why you find people of West only talking of their rights being violated. Here it's a fine balance between rights and duties. More you have rights , more you have duties / obligations. You cannot escape from your duties / obligations and enjoy your rights.If you want to come to SL and want to address problems of women here, these will be staring points.#1 - Wife battering, a serious problem within un educated. Main reasons are illicit liquor and low educational level of the women. Now if you can get rid of illicit liquor and educate women bit more on problem solving, wife battering will be a thing of rarity#2 - Most women on estates are malnourished and anemic. They'll have one loaf of bread shared among a family of 6-8. Pain tea plus that piece of bread is their main meal. Give these women liberty from hunger, then we can educate them about their rights / duties / obligations#3 - Give women their reproductive rights. Muslim women are not alowed to use contraception. But as doctors (non-Muslim ones) we persuade them to do so. Quite a number of them come to our clinics without the tknowledge of their husbands to get contraception. Now if a woman is found out, according to Muslim law the man can divorce her very easily. So fight for having "one law for all races" and for women to decide on contraception and their husbands to help them on that matter.Hope you got an idea about grass-root level situation in our country.</blockquote>
