Message: <blockquote data-quote="Hyaenidae" data-source="post: 29795695" data-attributes="member: 530392">Nah it didn't "corrupt" anything, for example the trial resetter just deleted the registry keys IDM used to store their trial period data (registry keys that remained behind even if you completely uninstalled the product) The thing is none of the open-source scripts that are used to activate essential software alter the original file system in a nefarious way, even Windows official support uses those activation scripts to fix activation issues sometimes (although they would never admit to it lol). You can't say the same about cracks and patches, that's why using them on essential software is discouraged even by the pirate community</blockquote>
