any digital CMOS/CCD sense Near IR as well as Visible light but most of them comes with IR filter to filter IR coz we use Visible light for imaging;but we can use them for IR imaging with IR lighting (Rs:25 per diode in Kandy) or use ur remort;
if u remove IR filter from camera the results will be great
