be careful of Solheim -a snake under the grass. He gave millions to the LTTE. Went even to balasingham's funeral in London

Good lesson to Britain. Poking fingers to others matters. What happened to Britain's diplomacy?

Oh! Mr. Mugabe be careful. This guy Solheim is a double game champion. Chk his past records in SL conflict.

What is Erik up to now. Be careful Zimbabwe

dm_comment.gif
Posted By: TMA

Sha! Mr. Solheim! Nice to see your name do the rounds again sir. Best of luck with Zimbabwe! Do take the lessons learnt and best practices from the last time you led an intervention...Glad that didn’t work out because... sure one doesn’t construct submarines, an air wing, chemical weapons etc. If genuinely interested in anything expect a ‘sovereign state’. Again, to think all this suffering, death and violations are based on a hopeless dream of a single delusional megalomaniac

But why is this guy Eric Solheim - he will ignite the fire and make the crack into a big valley. Whereever these Norwegians attempted settlement in the world the situation had gone from bad to worse including Sri Lanka.

We, Paradisians should congratulate Mr.Mugabe & keep his words in the highest esteem, which in many ways draw parallels to the Paradisian policies. After all, Zimbabwe is a developed country with zero inflation, just like we are. Great job done Mr.Mugabe!!! Well done!!!! Keep going!!!! As you said, the "god" will look after you!!!!!

Well said Mr. Mugabe. The British must learn to respect the Sovereignty of other countries. Especially, they believe they are still the masters of former colonies. Intimidation, Bullying former colonies is the policy of the the UK government. They still believes in "Divide and Rule" principle.Their policy on Sri Lanka is pathetic. but Sri Lanka has finally managed to to tell the UK politicians "Go hang" if you don't like the actions of Sovereign governments policy on eradicating terrorism.

Hello Zimbabwe people!. Enjoy the sovereignty. Now you have nothing but the sovereignty. Enjoy Maximum. What a great achievement by great Mugabe. Solhime go home and mind your own business without trying to break the sweet sovereign dream of that sovereign people. Near future Sri Lankans also to be enjoyed the same. God bless Zembabwe. God bless Sri Lanka

Rajan..a tiger in sheeps clothing? :) Zimbabwe might be a failed state but no sovereign country needs to take crap from western bullies. It is only now after 25 yrs of war that we have stood up to the bullies and continued our struggle to eliminate terror. Only difference is that we are more diplomatic when we say "go hang".. Spot on Vedamahttaya...He sure is a snake...

May be Mugabe messed up Zimbabwe in the last decade or so. Nevertheless it was he who fought the British imperialism and got independence to Zimbabwe. Please look at the history. Where ever the British had been the country ended in turmoil. I do not condone the manner in which Mugabe runs the country, yet he is one who has guts to tell the colonial rulers to go to hell. I would like to remind that here by boot licking the west we got nothing not even support at UN. Be balancing the act with China Russia we got the support we need. Norway during the last decade or so helped the terrorists to gain international recognition in par with the state. I do not agree with Mugabe's governance but I salute you for being open however unpalatable it may for the colonial rulers and those with "poodle" mentality. On the side line I agree with most of the other comments on the dangers of dealing with Eric. At present your inflation may be around 100,000% a month and nobody wants your currency, yet you have a country. If you continue to deal with Eric the Great in next to no time you will not have a country.

i hope all those who comment know that Mugabe is a leader who drove his country to the worst financial abyss with a million percent plus hyperinflation with his "Policies"

Rajan: Your ancestors sneaked into this country because it was a paradise. Then the Paradise, like Zimbabwe, had to withstand unwelcome foreign invaders from the so called developed countries who were pillaging and plundering our wealth. Zimbabwe suffered a similar fate. In fact, its name was changed after a whiteman called Cycil Rhodes. Now, the zimbabweans are realizing the harm the western nation has done to their country. I salute Robert Mugabe for his exceptional courage, and request Britain to mind its business!

Same attitude as GOSL - differnt is that he is not begging UK for funds but GOSL is.

I agree with Rajan, Mugabe is living in a fools paradise. In fact he does live well at the expense of his poor subjects. He is well supported by his henchman who have been rewarded with excellent farms confiscated by his party. All the top Police and Armed forces commanders have been gifted with excellent farms and luxurious farm houses that were confiscated, but all the farms are now in ruins, nothing is produced in them as the do not have a clue how to run them. Mugabe's country Zimbabwe has the highest rate of inflation in the world. A loaf of bread cost 10 Million Zimbabwean dollars this week and that is equal to .50 US cents. By tomorrow it may change to 15 Million Z$'s for a loaf of bread. The country is a joke and Mugabe is the joker. He has ruined a once very wealthy country which was called the bread basket of Africa. What a crying shame for Zimbabwe that this dictator will not give up power.

Maybe with Eric's experience he can get the white farmers to ask for a separate state and Norway can do the funding for it.

Vow, Peace Vulture Eric seems to have found another country to suck like he did in Sri Lanka. Probably retired old Norwegian peace monitors can again have some vacations .... as they did in Wanni in SL.

Mr. President, beware of this man Eric Solheim. He's so dangerous. Hats off for your statment!

dm_comment.gif

I see the Norwegians are looking for another country to screw over in the guise of peace solutions....first Palestine, then SL, now Zimba. Just look at the smug smile on that face of Solheim's, knowing that here lies another helpless country for him .

Will GOSL will follow Mugabe to ask all and sundries to fly a kite. Good precedent for GOSL

Solheim is looking forward to mess up another government that has recently patched up differences. If you are to go by his credentials this too will be a failure despite crab and lobster dinners.

Before congratulating Zimbabwe's president please gain some insight into ground realities in the country, a country's sovereignty is not more important than million lives who are dieing of hunger and epidemic, and beyond a limit international community deserves the right to intervene.

Robert Mugabe has ruined Zimbabwe . He wasted millions of money on private parties while fellow countrymen in hunger and suffering from various diseases. I can compare him to a typical south Asian politician.
