Sometime back i also got these mails!!U can disable it!

Go to Edit Options
- > Under Messaging & Notification
-> Default Thread Subscription Mode
-> Select No Email Verification from the drop down list

Subcribed threads->then tick the Boxes->then Chose the Option;No Email Notifications
