But deaths are around 40 per day. Pretty low compared to cases.
That's 4 deaths for every 1 million. Just half of ours which is about 8 per mil - that's with only about 15% of the population vaccinated. Israel has vaccinated at least 75%

What's the point of comparing with the population?
And Sri Lanka has vaccinated 58% of its population at least with 1 dose and fully vaccinated 42%. For Israel numbers are 66% and 60%.

Could've sworn I heard it was like 13% or 15% but that might be people below 30 or something... could you share your sources?

There are lot of factors so vaccination itself will not tell the story.
eg. how long vaccinations last. type of vaccination (mrna or other), varient that is active in the country, how well people react to safety measures such as face masks and social distancing, how they live (eg apartment, flats, settlements), average age of population vaccinated, how much of population not vaccinated (eg children), and last not least how often a person is exposed or viral load an average person will is exposed.
A recent study by Pnn and Rockerfeller stated that vaccination has very effective prevention of infection and also hospitalization and also detection of 'super immunity' in certain people who are immune not only to the vaccinated but also most of the VOI and VOC and also some of the generated mutants and SARS Cov 1 !! (this group were who got infected but survived and also vaccinated) . But research did not examine vaccinated , and break through infected sample. It is nearly impossible to monitor all the variables in a significant population to publish them(unlike SL where even a very small populaiton tests are give much publicity and conclusions are also reached from such statistically insignificant samples and findings).https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2021/09/07/1033677208/new-studies-find-evidence-of-superhuman-immunity-to-covid-19-in-some-individuals
Read and understand you need not be a medical person to understand basics of science(again an apology to our media who jump with wrong conclusions all the time)

There's nothing to argue or keep on comparing with the others. Just be aware that we do NOT have an Universal Covid Vaccine yet. These and some drugs are still under development. These will take more than a year to be available.

The ONLY mechanism currently approved for use are the Generation-1 vaccines, of course, not the ideal due to the variants, but that's how close we could get. All of us do not possess super immunity. I have written before how and why some people have immunity against HIV. Some gene defects do give rise to these type of protection.

So forget arguing, take the vaccine that comes your way because that's going to protect you to some extent. Even if your NAb counts go lower, the generated T-cell immunity will offer you some protection. I wrote two posts on Covid T-Cell immunity.

The masks and the safe covid practices are important even though you are fully vaccinated. Stay safe.

Probably New Zealand they already bent the curve again, from 82 few days ago yesterday 32 and today 22 seems cases are dropping there. New Zealand locked down when they found one case of covid.

Australia is not so good. there cases are rising, they locked-down several days later when they found one case of covid .

However, the country’s politicians are insistent no new lockdown will be introduced and have pointed out that despite the surge in cases, serious illness and death among vaccinated Israelis remains low.
