Fonseka visited Jaffna this morning (02) for his election campaign. Former Chief Justice (CJ) Sarath N Silva too went with him. UNP and Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe , JVP leader Somawansa Amerasinghe, SLMC Leader Rauff Hakeem, Democratic Ntaional Front Leader Mnao Ganeshan, Ravi Karunanayake, Arjuna Ranatunge and Akila Viraj Kariywasam also participated in the tour. The first batch with Gen. Fonseka reached Jaffna at about 9.30 a.m. Their first visit after reaching Jaffna was to the Nallur Temple. After conducting religious ceremonies at the temple, the group met Jaffna Bishop Emil Savundrananyagm with whom they had important discussions.
