java kiyanne language ekak witarai...programming means something else...programming wala follow karanne concepts....puluwan nam degree ekak karanna...ehema bari nan java course ekak karala job ekak hoya ganna...then da self studying is the best....

Srilanka got many SCJPsbut stil lack of Java expertise.
so if ur a Very good and creative you will have good opportunities.

5.1 Selection Procedure
Notices calling for the admission to the external degree (BIT)
programme will be published in the press and the BIT website
(www.bit.lk) annually. In accordance with such notices, prescribed
application forms that can be downloaded from the BIT website
should be forwarded to the External Degrees Center (EDC) of the
UCSC on payment of appropriate fees (see Section 11).
6. Registration
Students selected will be informed to register for the external
degree (BIT) programme. Initially students will be granted only a
provisional registration. Registration proper would be given only
after the G.C.E. (O/L)/NCGE/G.C.E. (A/L) qualifications are
verified by the Department of Examinations or other equivalent
qualifications are accepted by the University Authorities.
Registration is valid for a period of one academic year. The
students have to pay the registration fee annually to keep their
registration valid and sit for examinations.
6.1 Documents Required for Provisional Registration
a). Originals & Photo copies of the following:
• Birth Certificate
• National ID card/ Valid Passport/Valid Postal ID
• Educational certificates
1) For Candidates who have obtained a Credit/Distinction
in Mathematics at G.C.E. (O/L) Examination/NCGE &
three passes at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination in one sitting:
G.C.E. (O/L)/NCGE Certificate
G.C.E. (A/L) Certificate
2) For candidates having alternative qualifications:
Handbook for Students

Documents issued by the institute/institutes giving the
name, duration, the course content (syllabus) and the level
of achievement obtained by the candidate of the study
programmes that has been completed or the successful
results of any examination the candidate has sat for and
any certificates received
AND
b). Original receipt of payment of Registration Fee for Year 1
AND
c). Three recent colour photographs of Passport size (35 mms X
45 mms). Place your signature on the reverse of two
photographs.
Paste the third photograph on a clean sheet of paper and have it
attested by an *authorized person. The signature and the seal of the
authorizing person should be placed across the photograph so as
not to cover the face of the candidate.

    Do not expect 2 become software engineer by just doing SCJP. It just about java language and not about software engineering. Best thing u can do is follow a degree ( and not BSc in java technology offered by IJTS ) BIT and SLIIT are good options.

    For a real software developer, programming language is a nothing. Sad part is many peoples does not understand it. I think if u have a basic knowledge and logical thinkig u can do it your self ( like me ). :)

    for be a good Software Engineer u must know both Programing as well as other SE Tech.
