Why isnt time a problem? Dont be childish. If you dont have what ever you need in due time, what bloody use is in it? Sri Lanka can have all the military weapons in another 5years time, but what use is it when SL is presently experiencing an extreme war? And the railway tracks came off because there was a train fully loaded on it, did you see or hear of any railway tracks that were unoccupied at the moment of the Tsunami being damaged that heavily?

The Tsunami was one of the major catastrophes that SL has ever faced so far, and did I say the fort came off during the Tsunami? My point was the opposite, it had some minor damages, but all in all it was okay. Now that building is almost 400years old, and to the strength of the Tsunami, it stood pretty well. Did the Ruwanwali saaya face any Tsunami? No, it is built in a perfect condition with the best of climates where even weathering is least likely, I doubt how much of strength it would have to face a Tsunami......

1. Here's a PHYSICS lesson for you:

When a train which weighs few TONS, suddenly over turn it sure does uproot the railway track! If this is the measure that you are brining in to measure the quality... you need to go and learn Physics first!

2. Here a MATH lesson for you:

A 400 years old fort faced a Tsunami and survived but structures like Ruwanwalisaya is stood the wearing and tearing of time for nearly 2000 years how does that sounds?

OK, so your point is that SL on its own could do miracles. Tell me, how much of a progress has the country made on its own after independance? In my opinion, its stagnated, and maybe, gone down further to-date. If your point is that the development was disrupted by the warfare, then first thing, its the mistake of the politicians and the foolish community, and secondly, if the war damaged the developement, how much of a progress did SL make during the ceasefire? Was this progress so great, that it atleast managed to double the GDP of the country during those two years?

How many years of ceasefire we had? To develop a nation!!!

And ceasefire doesnt mean everything is OVER!! ceasefire is a temporary stop to WAR that does not mean WAR expenditures will be stopped Army still acquire and maintain their military strength through a ceasefire too dude!
