The two suspects were arrested after police identified them from a 41-second video that showed them pulling the woman’s body from the river before allegedly removing earrings from both her ears. Nepal Police later shared the video, saying the men had been taken into custody for stealing the earrings from the dead woman.

Based on the video, police identified the suspects as 25-year-old Madan Gurung and 38-year-old Umesh Chaudhary. They were arrested near Pokhara Bus Park in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 on Thursday, according to Nepali media portal Khabarhub, citing police.
